October is Texas Wine Month, and one of the Hill Country’s best celebrations is happening right here in Johnson City.

The 6th Annual Texas Wine Jam brings Texas wineries, winemakers, live music, food and a whole lot of bottles together for one very JAM-packed Saturday. Taste wines from established favorites, rising producers and wineries you may not have discovered yet—then buy your favorites directly from the people who made them.

This year brings more live music, an expanded vendor market and educational Spotlight Sessions, including Texas Wine Mythbusters and The Future of Texas Wine Starts in the Vineyard.

And this isn’t just a tasting. festival. Buy six bottles from participating wineries and you earn a shot at taking home a seventh in the Jam Ring Toss. Complimentary bottle check means you don’t have to carry your haul around all afternoon.

General admission begins at 1 p.m., with VIP admission beginning at noon. The festival wraps at 6 p.m. Come for the wine. Stay for the Hill Country.

Make a weekend of it at Flint & Flowers—and leave the driving to someone else. Hill Country Wine Tours offers safe transportation with pickup and return directly from Flint & Flowers, so you can enjoy Texas Wine Jam without worrying about the trip home.

Reserve your tent, book your Wine Jam tickets and arrange your ride early. October weekends in the Hill Country have a way of filling up fast.
